About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Test functional requirements and validate business processes across client service engagements
- Develop test scenarios, test scripts, and test data
- Execute manual and automated testing and document defects with clear reproduction steps
- Analyze application behavior, identify root causes, and interpret results for remediation
- Coordinate testing milestones, dependencies, and workstream status updates
- Review junior team members’ deliverables and provide guidance
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, address issues, and support release readiness
- Apply regulatory risk and controls knowledge to assess compliance alignment
- Review user stories and identify gaps across happy paths, alternate paths, user-error workflows, and system-error workflows
- Work with Business and QA leads to understand the application and supported business
- Work with Interactions Hub Developers, Solution Architect, and Technical Lead to understand technical specifications and non-functional requirements
- Contribute to regulatory risk compliance services within PwC’s Risk and Compliance practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 4–8 years of experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in functional quality assurance and software testing
- Experience owning test planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder communication
- Ability to organize and lead test-set peer reviews, test plan reviews, and test execution
- Ability to provide guidance and coaching to junior QA team members
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
- ISTQB certification preferred
- Hands-on experience with test automation, performance testing, and API testing is an added advantage
- Ability to actively participate in reviews of functional and technical User Stories
- Ability to understand application and business requirements
- Ability to understand technical approaches, specifications, and non-functional requirements
- Ability to author Agile Test Plans and Requirements Traceability Matrices
- Experience testing workflow applications built on the Appian platform preferred but not required
