About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead data modernization initiatives across healthcare payer environments, translating business needs into scalable data engineering solutions
- Design and build data pipelines, data integration workflows, and transformation layers supporting analytics and reporting
- Develop data architecture approaches improving data flow, storage design, and system interoperability across cloud platforms
- Manage complex delivery efforts using Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake
- Apply data modeling, dimensional modeling, and warehouse design methods
- Evaluate data quality, validation rules, and performance tuning opportunities
- Advise clients on data strategy, modernization roadmaps, and operating models aligned with payer data requirements
- Guide teams through ambiguous delivery challenges, coach technical staff, and drive issue-resolution decisions
- Collaborate with business, technology, and analytics stakeholders on reporting, security, and compliance needs
- Advance data governance, anonymization, security practices, and platform standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 7 years of experience
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Analytics/Data Science, Business Administration/Management, Computer Science/Information Systems, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Operations/Supply Chain
- Data modernization experience in payer health services environments
- Systems thinking applied to data architecture, integration, and transformation
- Ability to lead client conversations through ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Ability to coach teams through complex delivery and decision points
- Ability to craft clear messages connecting technical work to business outcomes
- Up to 60% travel
