About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multiple pre-deal engagements in parallel, owning scope, approach, quality and delivery
  • Act as the client's main point of contact throughout projects
  • Translate complex operational and financial analysis into clear answers for deal teams, CFOs and investment professionals
  • Work closely with Partners and Directors and incorporate their input
  • Provide functional expertise across Finance, Supply Chain, Working Capital, Procurement, Manufacturing or Commercial
  • Critically review team work, challenge assumptions and test model logic
  • Ensure conclusions are defensible
  • Identify scope extensions, follow-on work and additional client needs
  • Build and nurture a market network to stay close to deal flow
  • Identify and convert opportunities into new engagements
  • Coach and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Managers
  • Raise the analytical standard of the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience across deals advisory, operational performance improvement, corporate M&A or a senior operations role
  • End-to-end transaction experience as an advisor, in corporate M&A or corporate development, or in industry through acquisitions, carve-outs and integrations
  • Deep financial acumen, including financial analysis, business plan assessment, normalisation, EBITDA, cash conversion, working capital and capex
  • Genuine expertise in at least one core operational domain: Finance, Supply Chain, Working Capital, Procurement, Manufacturing or Commercial
  • Breadth to run engagements spanning multiple operational functions
  • Proven record of leading several engagement teams simultaneously
  • Proven ability to own client relationships from scoping through final deliverable
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Dutch language skills highly appreciated
