About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multiple pre-deal engagements in parallel, owning scope, approach, quality and delivery
  • Act as the client's main point of contact from scoping through final presentation
  • Translate complex operational and financial analysis into clear answers for deal teams, CFOs and investment professionals
  • Set analytical direction and critically challenge team outputs
  • Work closely with Partners and Directors and incorporate their input
  • Provide functional expertise in one or more core operational functions
  • Review team work, challenge assumptions, test model logic and ensure defensible conclusions
  • Identify scope extensions, follow-on work and additional client needs
  • Build and nurture a market network to stay close to deal flow and identify opportunities
  • Coach and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Managers
  • Advise buyers and sellers on the financial impact of operational and organisational change during transactions
  • Perform carve-out assessments, operational due diligence, synergy assessments and business plan reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience across deals advisory, operational performance improvement, corporate M&A or a senior operations role
  • Proven record of leading several engagement teams simultaneously and holding the client relationship from scoping through final deliverable
  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Deep financial acumen, including analysis of business plans, normalisations, EBITDA, cash conversion, working capital and capex
  • Genuine expertise in at least one core operational domain: Finance, Supply Chain, Working Capital, Procurement, Manufacturing or Commercial
  • End-to-end M&A experience across acquisitions, carve-outs and integrations, as advisor, in corporate M&A/corporate development, or in industry
  • Commercial acumen and ability to identify scope extensions, follow-on work and client opportunities
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Dutch language skills highly appreciated
