About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, implement and maintain training and competency assurance programmes across the px Group portfolio
  • Review, improve and maintain training frameworks aligned to organisational and industry requirements
  • Conduct training needs analyses across operations and support functions
  • Develop annual training plans and competency development strategies aligned with agreed budgets
  • Coordinate technical, safety, leadership and mandatory training programmes
  • Maintain competence management systems and competency matrices
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement agreed changes
  • Ensure competency assessment processes meet organisational and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Support internal and external audits relating to training and competence
  • Work with operations, engineering, maintenance and project teams to ensure operations readiness
  • Support mobilisation and onboarding activities for new personnel
  • Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to px SHE policies
  • Directly manage members of the Training and Competence team
  • Support workforce development initiatives and competency management processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Training, learning and development qualification or demonstrable experience in training management
  • Experience within oil, gas, power, energy or industrial services environments
  • Experience in training, learning and development or competence assurance
  • Experience managing technical and compliance-based training programmes
  • Previous line management or supervisory experience
  • Experience implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Appropriate skills, knowledge, qualifications and behavioural competencies to perform roles safely, efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations, customer requirements and company standards
