About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install or upgrade fire suppression systems in commercial and residential buildings
  • Test and repair existing suppression systems
  • Inspect systems to ensure installation complies with code
  • Complete detailed inspection reports and document issues
  • Report completed work accurately and promptly
  • Protect and maintain company equipment
  • Inspect and maintain the truck and related equipment; submit repair requests as needed
  • Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles safely for truck loading and unloading
  • Follow company safety procedures, including driver safety and personal protective equipment requirements
  • Respond to emergency service calls
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Perform other duties assigned by management
  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience with commercial and residential systems
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site
  • Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evening, weekend, and/or out-of-town assignments
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations related to the work
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift or move heavy objects
  • Ability in balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity
