About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
- Develop, maintain, and refine financial models and tools for strategic and operational decision-making
- Analyze financial performance and key drivers to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Design and implement scalable FP&A processes that improve data integrity and usability
- Collaborate with client leadership teams to translate business needs into actionable initiatives and insights
- Prepare and present executive-ready dashboards, summaries, and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with FERC accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through communication, problem solving, and reliable execution
- Coordinate FP&A activities within client organizations
- Map stakeholder requirements and define areas for improvement
- Design and implement FP&A strategies aligned with FERC standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, accounting, or related financial roles
- Demonstrated expertise in FERC accounting and Utility industry financial operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with and presenting to executives
- Proven success in developing and implementing strategic plans that achieved measurable results
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of turning data into actionable insights
- Experience with financial systems and tools commonly used in the utility sector including PowerPlan, Ecosys, OPPM and Unifier (preferred)
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance frameworks beyond FERC (preferred)
