About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, pursue, and shape future opportunities for Q-CTRL’s Quantum Sensing Business
  • Generate and capture business opportunities
  • Develop deep understanding of existing and prospective clients, programmatic and technical roadmaps, and competitive landscape
  • Plan, initiate, and manage continuous engagements with current clients and prospective customers
  • Monitor buying cycles for opportunities
  • Support proposals and new customer efforts, including authoring and reviewing RFI, RFP, and other request responses
  • Support the team in closing new business
  • Partner with product managers to identify growth opportunities with current clients
  • Conduct outreach, lead follow-up, and sales-motion interactions
  • Manage customers who purchased evaluation systems and ensure customer success
  • Build and own partnerships with mapping companies
  • Represent Q-CTRL’s value and principles to clients, partners, competitors, and the public
  • Translate client problems into actionable internal plans and convey needs to product and engineering teams
  • Help inform and manage priorities and execution, keep stakeholders informed, and align performance with key milestones

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of proven strategic sales/BD experience with sensors or related hardware technology space
  • Prior startup experience; hands-on and scrappy approach
  • Expertise in complex engineering systems
  • Advanced degree in engineering or related field
  • Prior military or contracting experience, or experience in DoD or Government
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Experience with government business development, government contract structures, and government proposal processes
  • Demonstrated experience in the sensing space
  • Strong writing skills, including white papers, technical reports, and RFI/RFP responses
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of US and international customers
  • Experience in Navigation and C4ISR is a bonus
