About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Guide Onshore Wind, BESS and Solar projects through the investment cycle from inception to closing
- Maintain a leading position in buy-side and sell-side transactions
- Use and expand a network of renewable energy developers in the German market to originate deal flow
- Perform investment valuations using DCF, multiples and other established methods
- Prepare audit-proof analyses for investment approval
- Assist in negotiating transaction contracts, including NBO, SPA, PDA, EPC, TMA, Facility Agreements and PPA
- Collaborate with internal teams and external top-tier advisers
- Draft information materials, investment committee documentation and internal presentations
- Manage due diligence packages with internal cross-functional teams, sellers, investors and lenders
- Ensure projects meet international bankability requirements and transaction timeframes
- Conduct energy-sector market research and translate findings into commercial decisions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field
- At least 4 years of experience from a project finance lending institution, private equity, infrastructure fund, developer or adviser
- Experience preferably within renewable energy or alternative infrastructure sectors
- Onshore Wind or BESS experience preferred
- Ability to negotiate key project contracts
- Ability to challenge positions toward senior team members during deal execution
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analytical skills
- Strong commercial sense and ability to translate results into clear contract arrangements
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in German and English
- High ownership and experience working in fast-paced environments
- Experience pitching, originating and executing deals
