About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and build modern, responsive and maintainable interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS
- Shape frontend architecture, component design, usability, performance, accessibility and application consistency
- Collaborate with business analysts, product stakeholders, developers, testers and architects to turn complex requirements into user-friendly solutions
- Work with the backend team on Java/Spring services, including API design, integration, troubleshooting and end-to-end validation
- Build reusable UI components and patterns to speed delivery and improve quality
- Participate in the full delivery lifecycle, including refinement, design, development, code reviews, testing, releases and post-release improvements
- Act as technical owner of the UI area, guide decisions, support colleagues and raise engineering standards
- Help build and shape a new strategic technology hub in Madrid
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong hands-on skills in React, TypeScript and JavaScript
- Solid understanding of React application architecture, including component design, state management, routing, testing, performance optimization and maintainable code structure
- Ability to build clean, intuitive interfaces for complex business applications
- Experience connecting frontends to APIs, authentication flows, data models and asynchronous processes
- Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, code reviews, automated testing, agile delivery and secure development
- Experience using AI tools productively, with sound judgment and responsible use
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Ownership, curiosity, focus on quality and drive to improve team processes
- Backend experience with Java and Spring Boot, REST APIs, service integration and debugging
- Experience with design systems or component libraries
- Experience leading a UI workstream or mentoring other developers
- German is a nice-to-have
