About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build MCP tools and agent infrastructure that make Qargo agent-ready
- Understand users’ goals and the tools their agents need to achieve them
- Expand the MCP toolset for interaction with Qargo’s core Transport Management System
- Collaborate with internal customer success teams to understand workflows and provide suitable agent tools
- Develop Qargo’s internal agent infrastructure
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to turn logistics challenges into practical AI solutions
- Scale, monitor, and improve AI components for reliability, efficiency, and performance
- Work across research, rapid prototyping, and productionisation of AI features
- Contribute to Qargo’s long-term AI strategy and roadmap
- Monitor and improve agentic workflows
- Maintain and optimise production AI systems for cost, latency, and reliability
- Bring AI prototypes to production with quality, scalability, and observability
- Define clear AI workflows, including onboarding setup automation and system configuration
- Develop AI-driven features such as document extraction, matching flows, quality checks, chatbots, and automated bookings
- Stay current with AI advancements and identify product improvement opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in software engineering, applied AI, or similar technical roles
- Strong programming skills, preferably Python and/or modern backend languages
- Experience with designing MCP interfaces
- Experience with AI agent toolchains and frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph, AgentConnect, and FastMCP
- Experience deploying and operating AI/ML systems in a production environment is a plus
- Ability to experiment quickly, iterate fast, and validate assumptions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, product managers, and domain experts
- Experience with document processing, NLP, or conversational AI is a plus
