Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and develop a high-performing software development team within an agile environment
Coach, mentor, and support engineers in professional growth and career development
Drive execution and delivery of product roadmaps while ensuring quality, efficiency, and predictability
Collaborate with Product Management, Architects, and Engineering teams across a global organization
Build cross-functional partnerships and facilitate communication between teams and stakeholders
Foster a customer-centric culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation
Promote software development best practices, including quality assurance, cybersecurity, maintainability, and sustainability
Drive adoption of modern development approaches, tools, and AI-enabled engineering practices
Support strategic planning, resource management, and organizational decision-making
Create a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and execution excellence
Help shape the engineering organization and long-term people, process, and technology roadmap

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5 years of experience leading software development teams
At least 5 years of experience with direct reports
Experience conducting development and performance reviews
Experience setting goals and following up on results
Experience providing feedback and coaching
Experience managing salary review and compensation processes
Experience supporting employee development and career planning
Proven track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing engineering teams
Experience delivering complex software products in an agile environment
Strong technical foundation and interest in modern software technologies and emerging trends
Experience or demonstrated interest in AI-assisted development tools and engineering productivity improvements
Experience developing customer-facing applications with a strong focus on user experience
Ability to influence and drive technical decisions across multiple teams
Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Bachelor's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Fluency in both Swedish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
