About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and manage the open customer order book to identify fulfillment risks and supply constraints
  • Prioritize customer orders according to established policies, business priorities, and demand planning guidance
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve order fulfillment challenges and customer escalations
  • Own resolution strategies for at-risk orders, including rescheduling, substitutions, partial shipments, or revised commitments
  • Partner with Customer Service to ensure accurate and timely customer commitments
  • Act as the voice of the customer while balancing operational realities, inventory availability, and business objectives
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, Planning, Operations, Product Management, and Commercial teams to resolve supply and fulfillment issues
  • Execute customer segmentation and allocation strategies during constrained supply situations
  • Analyze fulfillment challenges and provide root-cause feedback to improve processes and reduce recurring issues
  • Maintain order integrity and data accuracy within ERP and planning systems
  • Communicate decisions, risks, and priorities clearly to stakeholders across the organization
  • Proactively identify emerging risks and escalate issues before they impact customer commitments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand fulfillment, customer service, production planning, scheduling, order management, or a related function
  • Experience managing customer orders, fulfillment commitments, inventory allocation, or supply-demand balancing activities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess multiple variables and make sound business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and forecasting
  • Ability to identify risks, escalate issues appropriately, and drive timely resolution
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and process compliance
  • Sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future
  • Preferred: Experience in a manufacturing, chemical, semiconductor, advanced materials, or industrial environment
  • Preferred: APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP) or other supply chain certifications
  • Preferred: Experience supporting customer allocation and prioritization processes during constrained supply situations
  • Preferred: Knowledge of demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, inventory management, and customer fulfillment processes
  • Preferred: Experience working directly with commercial teams, product management, and customer service organizations
  • Preferred: Familiarity with root-cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional discussions to resolve supply chain or customer fulfillment challenges
  • Preferred: Knowledge of customer segmentation, allocation strategies, and service level management
  • Preferred: Experience with supply chain analytics, reporting tools, and dashboard development
  • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to make decisions under pressure while balancing customer needs and business objectives
