About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and evolve scalable, performant, and maintainable architectures for AI, data, and platform components
Assess and refactor architectures to align with business needs, technical innovations, and organizational maturity
Ensure alignment with technical strategy and architectural standards
Evaluate and validate DevSecOps and FinOps maturity using checklists and KPIs
Champion infrastructure-as-code, secure-by-design practices, cost-aware development, and efficient cloud resource usage
Review, enhance, and guide implementation of modern data architectures
Oversee monitoring, logging, tracing, and health checks
Define and track SLAs to ensure client agreements are technically respected
Serve as the technical interface with clients on architecture matters
Translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Assess engineering practices, identify gaps, and drive adoption of CI/CD, automated testing, and AI/ML workflow automation
Promote automation-first principles and reduce manual delivery-pipeline overhead
Mentor and upskill engineering teams
Provide architectural guidance and technical direction across multiple teams and initiatives
Collaborate with Technical Architects and stakeholders to ensure cross-project consistency and technical alignment
Contribute to the long-term technical vision and strategic planning

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on GCP experience with Vertex AI pipelines, GKE, Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, and VPC/networking
Production-scale Terraform proficiency, including modules, state management, and drift detection
CI/CD design for ML workloads
Container and orchestration experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes operators
Secret management, IAM design, and workload identity federation
FinOps tooling experience, including GCP billing export, budget alerts, and committed use planning
Experience building or migrating a platform from scratch
Experience in multi-tenant or multi-project GCP organizational structures
Experience operating and supporting large-scale production platforms
Experience handling incidents, writing post-mortems, and carrying SLA accountability
Strategic mindset and ability to drive long-term value
Self-driven and autonomous working style
Strong communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
