About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of more than 130 staff and set the enterprise provider network strategy
  • Ensure the appropriate mix of providers by geography, specialty, licensure, modality, and capacity
  • Establish a network-gap management process using provider, referral, utilization, recruiting, credentialing, and operational data
  • Identify and prioritize access and capacity gaps, assign accountable owners, and track measurable progress
  • Direct provider recruiting and sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill specialties, rural and underserved markets, high-volume locations, and time-sensitive requirements
  • Oversee provider readiness, including onboarding, credentialing, privileging, background investigations, training, and system access
  • Partner with operational and business leaders to anticipate and respond to changing demand, surges, program launches, recompetes, and market expansion
  • Strengthen provider engagement and retention by improving provider experience and reducing administrative friction
  • Develop scalable approaches for employed and independent providers
  • Advance provider network technology, analytics, and partnerships
  • Build an integrated enterprise provider network across Leidos QTC and the broader Leidos Health Group
  • Serve as a senior enterprise resource on complex provider and network issues
  • Collaborate with Clinical Operations, Growth, Quality, Compliance, Legal, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders
  • Lead a high-performing provider network organization focused on mission delivery, growth, access, provider readiness, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Health Administration, or an equivalent field, with 20+ years of relevant professional experience
  • 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 7–10 years of specific experience leading provider network, provider recruitment, healthcare operations, workforce, access, or related functions in a complex healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated success using data and analytics to identify operational or network gaps and translate findings into measurable improvement
  • Strong understanding of provider recruitment, credentialing/privileging, onboarding, provider lifecycle management, and network adequacy principles
  • Experience leading large, geographically dispersed teams and/or complex provider networks with multiple workforce models
  • Strong executive communication and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and ability to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to balance enterprise strategy with operational execution
  • Ability to translate ambiguous or rapidly changing requirements into practical action
  • If applicable, ability to pass a federal background check and/or obtain and maintain additional clearances such as NACI, PIV, SMS, or TMS
