About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support selection, evaluation, and commercial review of General Contractor System Integrators and controls contractors
  • Lead and manage system integrator performance through calibrations, quality assurance, and issue resolution
  • Serve as primary escalation point for system integrator quality concerns
  • Onboard and lead General Contractor BMS Leads, system integrators, and E&I controls contractors
  • Support commercial terms and conditions review
  • Coordinate packaged equipment factory-installed controls audits and BMS commissioning audits
  • Facilitate large stakeholder and weekly cross-functional meetings
  • Review and ensure adherence to DIV25 specifications and design deliverables
  • Drive controls consistency and standardization across buildings, integrators, and installation contractors
  • Perform BMS, PLC, and SCADA inspections and validate project progress
  • Oversee PLC and SCADA installation and build quality
  • Ensure quality and functionality of BMS and SCADA interfaces, alarms, trends, and graphics
  • Provide on-site commissioning support, vendor calibrations, and witness testing
  • Support benchmark and mock-up processes
  • Coordinate controls activity schedules with Construction Managers and General Contractors
  • Identify and mitigate controls architecture risks, including single points of failure and redundancy requirements
  • Support custom tooling, construction-process integration, and cross-functional program initiatives
  • Use project data to identify early finish dates for detailed design delivery
  • Manage issues from identification through closure and support RFI tracking
  • Document and communicate controls issues and resolutions
  • Conduct regular site visits
  • Provide hands-on installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting support for BMS, PLC, and SCADA systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls programming/installation, general contractor MEP coordination/project management, and commissioning (mechanical and electrical) of data centers or other large-scale mission-critical buildings
  • 3+ years of experience with programming/designing HVAC control systems and electrical power monitoring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Experience with industrial automation and building management control systems (PLC/DDC)
  • Experience with Autodesk, CxAlloy, ACC Build, and Procore platforms preferred
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, and OPC UA systems preferred
  • cGMP, CAP, or PMP certifications preferred
  • Experience with Rockwell and Inductive Automation Ignition platforms preferred
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor others
  • Strong project management and documentation control skills
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership responsibilities
