About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support multi-site and multi-megawatt tenant fit-out projects derived from hyperscale customer requirements
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering and Development teams during sales-cycle planning to define scope and estimate schedule and cost
  • Manage project scope delivery after contract execution
  • Work with construction managers, specialized contractors, and data center integrators to develop project budgets and schedules
  • Adhere to QTS development policies, with emphasis on environmental health and safety at active construction sites
  • Identify long-lead and critical-path items affecting fit-out scope and customer decisions
  • Validate project scope against client needs throughout planning and implementation
  • Identify base-build infrastructure needed for future tenant fit-outs with Operations and Development teams
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to identify preferred vendors, contractors, and material distribution partners
  • Create RFPs and perform bid leveling for labor, material availability, and OFCI/CFCI responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships to drive competitiveness and customer value
  • Maintain stocking levels and cost catalogs for standard fit-out materials
  • Monitor project budgets and financial performance and report variances to Management and Accounting
  • Manage project risks and mitigation strategies cross-functionally
  • Maintain knowledge of QTS services, delivery methods, implementation, support processes, and SLAs
  • Oversee quality assurance through regular on-site inspections during and after project completion
  • Facilitate communication among project teams, Sales, Development, and Facilities Operations
  • Implement project best practices and lessons learned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • Seven or more years of experience in project management focused on commercial construction practices, data center operations management, mission critical facilities management, or a related field
  • Experience with various contract types, contract negotiation and management, business risk and liability handling
  • Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies
  • US Citizenship required by law due to federal customer contracts
  • PMP certification or other relevant industry certifications preferred
  • Experience with data center construction and MEP coordination preferred
  • Construction Health & Safety knowledge preferred
  • Strong servant leadership, strategic agility, and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines, budgets, and support staff
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-discipline teams
