About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a trusted AI technical advisor to clients and internal teams
- Support new client opportunities by understanding technical requirements, assessing feasibility and risk, identifying dependencies, and translating findings into deliverable approaches
- Review technical quality and readiness across existing AI programmes
- Review content, labs, code examples and demonstrations for accuracy
- Test technical exercises
- Build and test lightweight prototypes, proofs of concept, labs, simulations and internal tools
- Work directly with AI models, APIs and developer tools to validate proposed approaches
- Translate complex AI concepts and terminology into clear, actionable briefs
- Advise on appropriate AI tools and approaches, including trade-offs
- Identify and navigate gaps between client expectations and technical reality
- Brief and support facilitators on complex AI concepts, demonstrations and likely client questions
- Keep pace with AI models, developer tooling and implementation practices and provide practical recommendations
- Capture and share useful technical patterns
- Ensure Quadmark's AI work is technically sound from the first client conversation through delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience building and testing AI tools, applications, labs, simulations, prototypes or API integrations
- Strong practical understanding of large language models and foundation models, including how they work, their limitations, context and data flows and multimodality
- Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering and fine-tuning
- Familiarity with agentic systems, tools and actions, workflows, orchestration and MCP
- Understanding of AI evaluation and safety, including evals, guardrails, moderation, human-in-the-loop approaches and observability
- Advisory, consulting, solutions engineering or similar experience helping others understand which AI tools or approaches to use and why
- Strong client-facing experience, including communicating confidently with senior and technical client stakeholders
- Ability to translate complicated technical information into simple, precise language for different audiences and teams
- Strong problem decomposition skills
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Bonus: background in the technology industry
- Bonus: experience in solutions engineering, forward-deployed engineering, applied AI or technical pre-sales
