Senior Accountant

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide integral support to the organization by applying accounting principles and procedures and preparing accurate, timely reports and statements
- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile journal entries
- Produce error-free accounting reports
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements following company closing procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Assist with tax audits, tax returns and annual audit preparation
- Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies and non-compliance issues
- Coordinate with logistics regarding purchase orders, manufacturers, transport invoices and related information
- Deliver proactive solutions, close tasks, and keep company procedures updated
- Assist with the annual budget procedure
- Collaborate with controlling on ad-hoc reporting
- Initiate the dunning process in AR and collaborate with Sales to resolve issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Finance or accounting degree
- At least 5 years of accounting experience
- Knowledge of local taxes (VAT, Intrastat, salaries taxes…)
- Advanced level in Excel
- Advanced level of Spanish and English is mandatory
- Experience with SAP S4 Hanna will be a plus
