About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and maintain enterprise-wide database architectures, data models, schemas, analytics platforms, BI services, and data governance solutions
- Elicit, analyze, and document business, user, and technical requirements
- Translate requirements into architecture and solution designs
- Map business goals, project benefits, priorities, system components, and functional requirements to architecture deliverables and technology solutions
- Analyze existing systems, applications, and services; identify gaps and constraints; and evaluate solution options
- Design, estimate, and size network and infrastructure requirements
- Maintain, govern, and track architectural designs and artifacts throughout the system lifecycle
- Contribute to system design, development, testing, quality assurance, change management, and deployment activities
- Lead development teams and processes, providing architectural direction and technical guidance
- Select and evaluate technologies, interpret system metrics, and optimize solutions for performance, security, quality, and scalability
- Prepare technical documentation and stakeholder presentations
- Contribute to the Enterprise Architecture repository and maintain required architectural artifacts
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a related domain
- At least two certifications among Iasa Architect CITA-A, Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals, TIBCO Certified Associate, Certified SOA Architect, or internationally recognized equivalent certifications
- Proven experience as a lead or key architect in at least one enterprise-wide integration platform implementation
- Extensive experience aligning application development and integration initiatives with business needs
- Expert knowledge of system integration architectures at data and API levels
- Experience designing enterprise integration platform connectors, integration flows, service buses, and hybrid application integration solutions
- Strong expertise in planning, sizing, securing, and governing enterprise integration platform capabilities and services
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, standards, architecture styles, and architectural modelling approaches
- Experience with the European Interoperability Framework or similar interinstitutional frameworks
- Extensive technical knowledge of MuleSoft, TIBCO, SOA architectures, databases, application servers, communication middleware, web applications, cloud integration patterns, business intelligence concepts, systems integration, and SDLC practices
- Experience designing solutions across cloud, on-premises, serverless, containerized, and hybrid environments
- Strong knowledge of UML, ArchiMate, and other architecture modelling methodologies
- Proficiency with Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or equivalent platforms
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman Framework, Azure Well-Architected Framework, or similar methodologies
- Excellent communication, documentation, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within DevSecOps environments and applying secure solution delivery best practices
- Eligibility to obtain an EU Personal Security Clearance at a later stage
- Very good command of English, minimum B2 level
