About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the monthly and quarterly close process end-to-end
- Manage treasury, including banking, runway, and cash controls
- Maintain GAAP-compliant financial statements and audit-ready documentation
- Own revenue recognition in a SaaS context
- Run semi-monthly employee payroll in partnership with People Ops
- Handle vendor and contractor payments, payroll accruals, and employer taxes
- Maintain actuals infrastructure, including Brex and expense reconciliation
- Support the finance team in connecting forecasts and actuals and raising risks
- Lead relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting firms
- Support board reporting and investor diligence
- Evaluate and maintain accounting systems and tooling
- Design and own end-to-end AP/AR processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8–10 years (or equivalent) in accounting or controllership
- Experience at a high-growth startup
- Foundation in public accounting or audit preferred
- CPA strongly preferred
- Healthcare accounting experience is a plus
- Mastery of accounting fundamentals and scaling compliance
- Deep familiarity with ASC 606 in a SaaS or recurring revenue context
- Experience with variable or performance-based compensation structures is a bonus
- Experience building for venture, strategic, or audit diligence
- Ability to design lightweight, durable, documented processes
- Collaborative and transparent working style
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
