About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure, maintain, patch, STIG, troubleshoot, and install network-related hardware, including HP Aruba network switches
Provide support for engineering new networking solutions
Work with the Cyber Security team to perform STIG checks
Address deficiencies, remediate findings, and harden systems
Evaluate system and network configurations for DISA STIG compliance
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience configuring/maintaining networking hardware, including switches, routers, and firewalls
Experience with network automation tools, including Ansible
Must have Security+ with Continuing Education (CE) or equivalent certification under DoD 8570.01-M
Active Secret clearance required to start
Ability to lift at least 35 lbs
Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with DISA STIGs
Experience implementing advanced network security hardening techniques, including OOBM isolation, VRF segmentation, and CoPP
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a collaborative team environment
Ability to create and work within schedules and timelines
