About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as a Pre-Sales professional (Solution Engineer), serving as the bridge between sales and technical delivery
Translate business pain points into viable solutions
Design architectures, structure project scopes, and define Squads
Work on B2C and B2B Frontend, Marketplace, and Mobile opportunities, as well as integrations and custom software development
Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients to identify requirements and map challenges
Support sales meetings by modeling technical and business solutions
Contribute to opportunity qualification and the development of sales strategies and technical solutions
Define functional and technical requirements, architecture standards, and structural designs
Develop scopes, size and structure Squads, and create architecture diagrams and prototypes
Ensure that sold projects can be implemented within the expected timelines and budget
Prepare technical proposals, presentations, and documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, and layouts
Conduct technical demonstrations and present Proofs of Concept when applicable
Hand off projects to the delivery Squad with the relevant context, challenges, and designed solutions
Ensure that delivery aligns with the agreed architecture and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced English proficiency for interacting with business and technical teams at international clients
Experience mapping business objectives and stakeholders
Experience gathering functional, technical, and business requirements
Ability to analyze RFPs and RFIs
Ability to design technical diagrams and document features
Ability to size teams and develop high-level roadmaps
Advanced knowledge of the VTEX platform
Strong development fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and programming logic
Understanding of Monolithic and Microservices architectures
Understanding of Cloud architecture, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
Understanding of Java Spring Boot, Node.js, OSB, React, Angular, GraphQL, Flutter, Python, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Maven, and JMS, ActiveMQ, or Kafka messaging queues
Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, MySQL, and Aurora
Knowledge of iPaaS integration platforms
Knowledge of applied AI, including Cursor, Claude Code, Claude, Skills, MCP, and LLM fundamentals
Solid experience in software architecture and solution design best practices
Experience with B2C and B2B Frontend, Marketplace, and Mobile, as well as integrations and systems development
Ability to work effectively across technical and commercial contexts
Consultative mindset, technical curiosity, autonomy, and ownership of deliverables
Spanish is a plus
Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, SAFe, Lean, Product Discovery, and Design Thinking is a plus
Knowledge of Redis, SOLID, Clean Code, and QA Automation is a plus
