About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform project support and work-planning scheduling services for the System and Protection Department
  • Develop reports communicating the department's near-, mid-, and long-term work plan internally and externally
  • Maintain the department's work plan and integrate other departments and data sources, including the Engineering Department's Project Status Report
  • Monitor budgets, handle change management, run earned value analysis, and project cash flow
  • Track regulatory frameworks and evaluate environmental or supply-chain risks
  • Collect and review inputs and changes affecting the work plan, then update the plan appropriately
  • Monitor and communicate project-specific tasks, required inputs, and task durations during project-plan development
  • Develop processes for collecting department trend data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Create dashboards and program reports for the System Protection department manager
  • Review and assist with communicating department status to project managers, stakeholders, and management
  • Disseminate accurate and timely information
  • Foster team building and strong relationships with peers, stakeholders, and management
  • Capture and document department business requirements and desired end state with project stakeholders
  • Build schedule templates for System Protection
  • Integrate staff inputs, task durations, and required resources for communication to project teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience within project controls, including scheduling, cost control, and risk/compliance
  • Major capital project experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Must be able to work in-person on a hybrid schedule either in The Woodlands, Texas or New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Experience using MS Project or P6 Primavera for scheduling and resource management
  • Proficient in Excel
