About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and maintain automated UI and end-to-end tests with Selenium WebDriver
Build and extend a maintainable test automation framework using approaches such as Page Object Model and BDD
Automate regression, smoke, and acceptance tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines
Create and execute API tests alongside UI tests
Derive test cases from requirements and user stories
Participate in refinement, planning, and review activities
Analyze test results and document defects
Work with developers to resolve defects
Manage test data and test environments
Maintain transparent test reports and quality metrics
Collaborate with the local German-speaking team and central English-speaking team
Identify test coverage gaps and risks
Communicate status and findings to stakeholders at all levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of hands-on experience in test automation in a technical environment
Strong practical experience with Selenium WebDriver
Solid programming skills in at least one language, ideally Java (alternatively Python)
Experience with TestNG or JUnit
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Good knowledge of functional, regression, and cross-browser testing
Experience working in agile environments
Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive working style; able to stay calm under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Fluent English
Nice to have: telecommunications or e-commerce background
Nice to have: Playwright or Cypress experience
Nice to have: Mobile test automation with Appium and cross-browser cloud tools such as BrowserStack
Nice to have: Performance testing with JMeter
Nice to have: SQL knowledge for test data and validation
Nice to have: ISTQB certification
Nice to have: SAFe experience
