About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, clean and move data across systems
- Support onboarding of new data sources by writing and testing integration logic
- Apply transformations to turn raw data into structured, trustworthy datasets
- Help monitor ingestion pipelines and flag issues early
- Check for anomalies and validate schemas and formats
- Identify and implement automation and process improvements
- Document data rules, pipeline logic and key processes
- Stay up to date with engineering practices and tools
- Contribute fresh ideas to the Data Engineering team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, mathematics, or a related field (or similar qualification)
- Some exposure to coding, ideally Python or SQL, through studies, projects or self-teaching
- Genuine eagerness to deepen coding skills
- Keen eye for detail and passion for getting data right
- Comfortable picking up new tools, platforms and technical concepts quickly
- Proactive and inquisitive, happy to ask questions and figure things out
- Organised and methodical in tasks and documentation
- Thrives when working as part of a team
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- No ego
- Must be able to commit to working three days in the London office: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Must answer whether sponsorship to work in the UK is required now or in the future
