About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the data engineering team powering the Quantum Platform
- Own the technical strategy and delivery roadmap for data infrastructure
- Translate business ambition into scalable intelligence
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team
- Recruit and retain data engineers
- Ensure data infrastructure scales with the business
- Lead delivery against business objectives and make well-reasoned trade-offs
- Partner with product, marketing, commercial and executive leadership to shape data priorities
- Set the technical bar and drive adoption of AI-led development across the function
- Stay close to the code where it matters
- Quantum connects global brands with high-intent consumers through data-driven affiliate marketing and digital comparison services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience leading and developing data engineering teams, setting direction and building capability
- A track record of delivering data platforms that drove real customer and business results
- Hands-on technical credibility and willingness to get into technical detail
- Ability to translate technical complexity into clear, business-relevant narratives for stakeholders at every level
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable engaging senior stakeholders on revenue, growth and competitive advantage
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- Ability to thrive when working as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- No-ego attitude
- Must be able to commit to working three days in the London office: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
- Must answer whether UK work sponsorship will be required
