About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute hands-on to both front-end and back-end codebases
  • Shape architecture and system design for web applications, focusing on scalability, security, and performance
  • Mentor and support other engineers
  • Champion code quality through code reviews and shared best practices
  • Design and implement responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as Next.js and React
  • Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver functional, intuitive user experiences
  • Help shape and scale Quantum's technology platform across the product lifecycle

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong expertise in JavaScript frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
  • Solid proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
  • Solid experience with Node.js and Express.js
  • Experience building RESTful APIs or microservices
  • Comfortable working with SQL databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Comfortable working with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab CI
  • Familiarity with containerisation tools like Docker
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills
  • Knowledge of CMS would be a bonus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and navigate ambiguity in a fast-moving environment
