About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee life insurance accounting, including premiums, benefits, reserves, commissions, and reinsurance
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
- Prepare financial and prudential reporting
- Ensure accounting and regulatory compliance
- Strengthen first-level controls and the quality of financial data
- Coordinate interactions with statutory auditors, accounting firms, and financial stakeholders
- Participate in the transformation and automation of accounting processes
- Contribute to improving reporting and performance management tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in life insurance accounting
- Experience at an insurance company or specialized audit firm
- Strong understanding of prudential and regulatory requirements
- Experience working in demanding, highly structured environments
- Expertise in insurance accounting
- Proficiency in Solvency II
- Knowledge of technical provisions
- Experience with financial and prudential reporting
- Knowledge of internal controls
- Proficiency with accounting and reporting tools
- Financial analysis skills
- Knowledge of finance IT systems and processes
