About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead cross-project issue resolution across the AJAX programme
- Oversee identification, analysis and resolution of engineering issues impacting multiple projects
- Provide technical guidance to Project Leads and Chief Engineers
- Promote early detection and mitigation of design inconsistencies and integration challenges
- Oversee Tiger Team initiatives for rapid resolution of critical engineering problems
- Facilitate communication, coordination and alignment among engineering teams
- Drive documentation of issues, resolutions and lessons learned
- Lead risk identification and mitigation related to integration and design conflicts
- Support the Integrate Lead in meeting programme requirements, timelines and quality standards
- Maintain awareness of engineering standards, project specifications and industry best practice
Requirements
What you’ll need- UK Nationals only
- SC Clearance required
- Wide-ranging depth and breadth of experience providing technical advice and delivering successful engineering outcomes
- Experience providing technical advice and leading delivery of successful engineering outcomes
- Professionally registered as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or equivalent
- Experience managing engineering change and configuration (Asset management experience) is desirable
- Experience within an Engineering Production Environment is desirable, but not essential
- Experience managing engineering activity within a Defence Major Program (GMPP/CAT A) is desirable
