About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and coordinate safety-related concessions, ensuring requests are assessed, documented and approved
  • Collaborate with the safety function to align concessions with safety policies and risk management strategies
  • Support design modification activities by reviewing safety implications and providing engineering input
  • Stand in for the Concessions Engineer and maintain continuity of safety processes
  • Liaise with engineering and project teams to resolve safety issues relating to concessions and design changes
  • Maintain accurate records of concessions, safety assessments and approvals
  • Assist in developing and implementing safety procedures and best practices
  • Contribute to safety audits, reviews and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards and organisational policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Professionally registered as a minimum as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng)
  • Proven experience providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful safety systems
  • UK nationals only
  • Current SC Clearance required, valid for the duration of the contract
  • Formal safety qualification and/or training (desirable)
  • Experience within an Engineering Production Environment (desirable)
  • Experience managing engineering safety activity within a Defence Major Programme (GMPP/CAT A) (desirable)
