About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Apply established engineering standards, methods, and best practices related to product definition, GD&T, technical drawings, MBD, and PMI
  • Implement ASME, ISO, and DIN standards for tolerancing, GD&T, MBD, and PMI in project deliverables
  • Support digital tools and best practices throughout the product lifecycle to minimize design errors before physical build
  • Convert raw point cloud data or .stl mesh files into accurate, manufacturable 3D models within Siemens NX using scan-to-CAD techniques
  • Develop and manage engineering documentation packages, including 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, specifications, requirement matrices, and CTQ parameters
  • Work with engineering on initial 2D product concepts
  • Create 3D product models, outlines, and layouts
  • Create dimensioned detail component drawings for high-complexity parts
  • Apply tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure fit, alignment, and performance of complex assemblies
  • Support product design reviews and coordinate with project, engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • File, control, and export-classify created design data

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in any STEM field OR a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrable professional experience within a scientific, engineering, or technology discipline
  • Knowledge of industry best practices (ASME, ISO) governing engineering drawings, PMI implementation, and CTQ analysis
  • Advanced user of Siemens NX/Teamcenter environments
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and design intent notes
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation
  • Ability to meet deadlines, thrive under time constraints, maintain composure, and juggle multiple tasks
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and assembly techniques relevant to aerospace applications is a plus
  • US Citizenship required
