About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work independently remotely and travel on-site to suppliers to ensure capability and capacity requirements are being met
- Coordinate with suppliers to monitor and support capacity and capability improvement plans identified and completed to RAIL agenda
- Develop supplier recovery plans to increase Supplier score and reduce Supplier Quality Corrective actions
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Conduct thorough assessments of operations, manufacturing, and materials to identify supplier constraints in production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Analyze data and generate reports to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement
- Travel to the customer site as needed, with 90% travel required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in assessments and audits in the aerospace or automotive and/or other related industries
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools
- MS Office skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Familiarity with supplier operation and supplier development assessments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- US Citizenship is required
- Willingness to travel to the customer site as needed
- Ability to travel 90%
