About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create Technical Product Development Packets for apparel
  • Fit apparel styles and follow them through release of graded specifications
  • Attend development meetings with designers, merchants, and vendors
  • Provide technical guidance and direction on product vision and concepts
  • Build detailed tech packs in the PLM system using flat sketches, BOMs, and construction details
  • Attend proto fittings and product review meetings
  • Ensure desired aesthetics and measurements are met and update changes in PLM
  • Support the product lifecycle from concept through final production approval
  • Maintain fit consistency and brand integrity across multiple brands
  • Develop, update, and use blocks and patterns to meet standards and expedite production
  • Lead weekly fit sessions
  • Adjust patterns, analyze garment construction, measure samples, and compare execution against tech pack requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in fashion design or related program
  • Minimum 6-8 years industry experience within Technical Design
  • Understanding of the Technical Design process and product construction
  • Knowledge of how product is sourced, developed and marketed
  • Experience working in a PLM System
  • Strong pattern-making, grading, and draping skills
  • Knowledge of garment construction and fitting skills
  • Proficiency in PC operation, MS Office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt presentations for international cultures
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet vendors and suppliers, including potential international multi-market travel
