About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the Fashion category
- Organize effective sourcing strategies for private-label and branded products within the category
- Develop and further develop new and existing products, programs, and show concepts for various channels
- Ensure achievement of the profit budget
- Provide functional leadership to Junior Buyers and Assistant Buyers regarding assortment strategy and product selection
- Regularly visit trade fairs and suppliers domestically and internationally
- Develop new, future-ready concepts for multichannel retailing
- Negotiate the best possible purchase prices and terms with suppliers
- Set competitive prices in line with the pricing strategy
- Ensure the timely placement of daily offers, premieres, campaigns, and events
- Optimize efficiency, quality, and profitability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed degree in business administration with a focus on retail or fashion
- At least 3 years of experience in national or international buying, ideally in a multichannel environment
- Strong product and market knowledge
- Experience developing private-label products
- Experience in product development
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Ability to make timely decisions and prioritize effectively, even under high pressure
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong customer focus
- High degree of initiative and openness to taking on new responsibilities, ideas, and changes
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Fluent German and English language skills
