About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Elevate the guest experience and nurture growth of the complimentary design service
- Partner with other Design Consultants to promote external outreach within the community
- Coordinate needs and present solutions and alternatives to guests seeking design expertise
- Provide design expertise for scheduled studio and home appointments, virtual appointments, and on-demand design time
- Support the retail store team with order entry, visual floorsets, merchandising reinforcement, store maintenance and standards, and product training activities
- Support larger projects driven by the assigned mentor or other Design Consultants while learning professional and brand methods
- Report to the Store Leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 6 months of retail experience in a Frontgate store OR one year of retail experience in the home décor market
- A recent college degree or associate degree graduate with a design focus is an alternative qualification
- Passion for design and willingness to understand and grow in the design program
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to conduct home visits with established guests
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders
