About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create an inspiring shopping experience in which guests feel empowered to customize their space
Promote the Ballard Designs brand at every guest encounter
Ensure the team exemplifies brand values, standards, and experiences
Lead company programs, increase sales, and set the store to exceed expectations
Report to the VP of Retail
Improve EBITDA by creating an exceptional place to work and shop
Develop strategies to increase sales and build guest loyalty through store programs, Design Services, the Ballard Designs Private Label Credit Card, community outreach, and corporate and regional events
Recruit, train, and develop team members
Forecast and adjust monthly payroll to maximize productivity, achieve sales/payroll goals, and complete workload

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail business environments
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, Kronos, and POS systems
Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 50 lbs.
