Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the operation of a multi-shift, 7-day-per-week, multi-department variable-volume distribution operation
  • Manage productivity, financial, and service goals to meet customer demands
  • Develop strategic plans within an approved cost structure
  • Improve operational effectiveness through process improvements
  • Conduct roundtable meetings across schedules, shifts, and departments
  • Develop and submit annual departmental budget plans
  • Monitor expenses against budget and explain variances
  • Design and implement employee training and development programs
  • Develop procedures for new or changing departmental conditions
  • Ensure consistency among sites in quality practices
  • Partner across the network to agree on and implement corrective actions
  • Set short- and long-term site strategy focused on inventory accuracy, customer service, and operational excellence
  • Lead teams to maintain a safe work environment, maximize employee engagement, and ensure proper health and security conditions
  • Lead Operations and Area Managers and mentor the team
  • Report to the site General Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years experience in fulfillment leadership, improving network resources, and improving performance and service levels
  • 4+ years experience in budgeting, financial management, and labor planning and optimization
  • Experience leading projects to guide cost savings and improve customer service through network and process improvements with distribution centers, vendors, and transportation partners
  • Subject matter expertise in quality and operational controls, internal controls auditing, process improvement, organization, operations flow design, and distribution systems
  • Excellent performance in engagement, leadership, culture behavior, cost awareness, customer orientation, loyalty, organizational talent, conceptual thinking, initiative, and managing change
