About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute, delegate, coordinate, and direct Coding Department activities
  • Assist with Quality and Compliance initiatives of R1 RCM
  • Manage daily Coding operations, assign daily work, and ensure appropriate workflow
  • Meet routine deadlines and work schedules
  • Complete special projects and other assigned duties accurately and timely
  • Coach and mentor employees to improve work processes and reduce or eliminate non-compliance
  • Complete staff performance evaluations, including initial and 90-day competencies and annual evaluations
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities
  • Establish working relationships with onshore and offshore counterparts
  • Serve as liaison between hourly and management staff for training, quality, and general questions
  • Participate in weekly operations meetings to drive performance excellence
  • Troubleshoot and resolve client concerns with a sense of urgency
  • Report to the HIM Coding Ops Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years of Coding experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Personal drive and focus on measurable goals
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Professional demeanor
  • Resourceful, task-oriented, and willing to challenge the norm
  • Excellent people skills
  • 2 years coding leadership experience preferred
