About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute key deliverables with a large, approximately 100-person cross-functional team to onboard new customers onto the R1 operating system
  • Anticipate and mitigate project risks
  • Serve as an escalation point to remove barriers and put teams on a path to success
  • Monitor and track customer onboarding milestones, deliverables, and timelines
  • Provide frequent updates on progress, obstacles, and overall performance
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across R1 and customer organizations
  • Develop deep operational expertise and understanding of R1’s business model and pricing mechanics
  • Partner with the Customer Executive team to align operational objectives
  • Serve as a thought leader for Customer CFO and Executive teams
  • Build strong, enduring relationships across the customer enterprise
  • Deliver highly satisfied, referenceable customer counterparts, including CFOs, CEOs, and Executive Sponsors
  • Deliver Year 1 proforma expectations, including cost and performance targets
  • Demonstrate a growth- and solutions-oriented mindset and foster goodwill and collaboration
  • Participate in R1 strategy development as a thought leader and content expert
  • Share best practices, optimize performance, and lead transformation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Permanent US work authorization
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • At least 10 years of operational experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Revenue Cycle
  • Strategic vision across operational excellence in end-to-end solutions
  • Strong and broad understanding of Revenue Cycle Operations within a hospital setting
  • Mathematical and analytical aptitude; ability to translate operational concepts into measurable results
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to coach team members in R1’s core values
  • Change management skills
  • Ability to establish oneself as a peer and trusted partner for client counterparts
  • Self-starter with continuous-learning mindset
  • Ability to take on new challenges and create innovative solutions
  • Complex Excel and Access and/or simple SQL are a plus
  • Master’s Degree is desired
