About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the CRO and RBM in delivering the Risk Management Strategy across Australia.
- Coordinate preparation of Board papers, executive presentations and key governance materials.
- Track and report on strategic actions, risk initiatives and leadership priorities.
- Provide analysis on Risk Division performance, trends and emerging issues.
- Assist in developing KPI and KRI reporting and management information.
- Support risk governance and control activities, including operational risk assessments, reporting and remediation tracking.
- Coordinate approvals and ensure decisions progress through appropriate governance channels.
- Manage staff engagement initiatives and support continuous improvement activities.
- Build relationships across Risk, business divisions and key stakeholders locally and globally.
- Support the CRO and Risk Leadership Team in executing Australian business and risk management strategy.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-7 years' experience within financial services or banking, ideally supporting Risk, Governance or Executive functions.
- Exposure to risk disciplines such as Credit, Operational or Market Risk.
- Strong understanding of risk governance frameworks and regulatory environments.
- Experience preparing executive-level reporting, presentations and Board papers.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Strong analytical capability and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights.
- Experience using Archer, Excel and Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Finance, Economics or Accounting will be highly regarded.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and solving complex problems.
- Passionate about helping organisations strengthen risk culture and governance practices.
