About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leverage credit skills and experience to assess risks associated with client relationships
- Partner with the Relationship Manager on underwriting, structuring, analysis, documentation, negotiation, industry research, financial modeling and ongoing maintenance of customers
- Conduct comparative analysis of clients and prospects to assess the competitive landscape
- Work with relationship management teams on new transactions and portfolio monitoring
- Manage Rabobank Risk Rating, LEA/LGD and RAROC models
- Analyze risk and structure transactions through underwriting, approval and closing
- Produce independent, objective credit risk assessments and high-quality credit reports
- Perform market/business analysis, financial analysis, sensitivity analysis projections and structure analysis
- Calculate economic capital
- Communicate important matters to internal and external constituents orally and in writing
- Maintain extensive industry knowledge
- Initiate timely reviews according to the review calendar
- Assess monthly/quarterly company financial information and covenant checks
- Monitor assigned client portfolios and identify early warning signals
- Initiate extra measures when necessary to safeguard the credit portfolio
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in finance or associated discipline
- 3+ years of credit/lending experience
- Formal credit training at a major money center bank preferred
- Ability to travel regionally up to 15%
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Rabobank is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position
- Master’s degree preferred
