About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
Develop integrations with enterprise systems, cloud services, and AI platforms
Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions on Azure
Define and implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines
Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, observability, and operational excellence
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical direction
Mentor engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices
Design and maintain enterprise integration patterns using API gateways and service-to-service communication models
Build and support integrations with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Genesys, and other enterprise applications
Collaborate with Backend Engineers, Business Analysts, Prompt Engineers, and AI specialists to deliver AI-powered solutions
Influence technical decisions, architectural direction, engineering standards, and future development of the AI platform

Requirements

What you’ll need

Relevant HBO or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience with C# and .NET
Experience designing, building, and operating production-grade APIs and distributed systems
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform, or similar)
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of software architecture, integration patterns, and system design
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure software development practices
Experience working within complex enterprise environments
Preferred: Experience with Azure Functions and event-driven architectures
Preferred: Experience integrating Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, or other generative AI services
Preferred: Experience with API gateways such as Kong
Preferred: Experience with Azure networking, private endpoints, and enterprise security patterns
Preferred: Experience operating systems in regulated environments with sensitive data
Preferred: Azure certifications such as AZ-204, AZ-104, AZ-400 or AZ-900
Preferred: Experience contributing across the full technology stack
Preferred: Experience integrating with Salesforce, Genesys Cloud, CRM systems, or customer engagement platforms
Preferred: Experience designing and consuming APIs in enterprise environments using API gateway platforms such as Kong
Preferred: Familiarity with API provider/consumer architectures and enterprise integration patterns
