About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver a long-term IT strategy and architecture supporting Rabobank’s ambitions
- Shape the future of Rabobank’s technology landscape
- Bring business, IT, engineering, and executive stakeholders together around a shared vision and roadmap
- Foster collaboration across organisational boundaries and build trusted relationships
- Define a future-proof vision for development platforms
- Steer architecture development and solutioning for the agentic SDLC hub
- Advise senior leadership on trade-offs between business value, delivery speed, risk, and sustainability
- Develop transformation roadmaps to simplify and modernise the application landscape
- Guide implementation of the domain target vision
- Influence IT vendor and sourcing strategies
- Coach, mentor, and develop business architects
- Lead stakeholder alignment across business, technology, and executive leadership
- Report to the Chief Architecture & Engineering Officer and participate in the MT CAEO
- Present proposals at Managing Board level and interact with CEOs and CTOs of key IT vendors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in IT or Business
- 15 years of experience in senior business or enterprise architecture or another form of senior content leadership
- Extensive experience in IT platform architecture, including design, implementation, and governance of complex enterprise-scale platforms and technology landscapes
- Demonstrated success building, influencing, and maintaining strategic relationships with executive-level stakeholders across business and technology domains
- Proven leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams and senior professionals
- Exceptional conceptual and strategic thinking capabilities
- Outstanding communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- Candidates must currently be based in the Netherlands
- Legally authorised to work in the Netherlands
- Applications from candidates residing outside the Netherlands or outside the European Union will not be considered
