About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and coordinate end-to-end management of compliance incidents and breach reporting across Rabobank Australia
- Assess incidents for regulatory reportability and ensure compliance with breach reporting obligations and timeframes
- Manage compliance breach processes, including preparation and submission of notifications to regulators where required
- Provide independent Line 2 review and challenge of incident assessments, root cause analyses, and remediation plans
- Monitor incident and action management activities for timely completion and effective resolution
- Conduct thematic analysis to identify trends, systemic issues, and control weaknesses
- Provide advice on incidents, investigations, escalations, and business initiatives as a Compliance SME
- Partner with business stakeholders to improve incident management practices
- Ensure incident and breach management aligns with the Compliance Management Framework and internal policies
- Contribute to management, board, committee, and regulatory reporting
- Support audit responses and remediation activities with compliance implications
- Deliver guidance, training, and knowledge sharing to uplift incident management capability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 6 years' experience in Banking, Compliance, or Risk Management within the financial services sector
- Strong experience managing compliance incidents, regulatory breaches, and associated reporting obligations
- Demonstrated expertise in risk and control frameworks
- Experience conducting reviews, investigations, root cause analysis, and remediation oversight
- Proven ability to design and deliver technical training to diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability across all organisational levels
- Degree in Commerce, Economics, Business, Law, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and practices within banking and financial services
- Sound knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and regulatory reporting requirements
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory obligations and translate them into practical business solutions
- Knowledge of risk management principles, governance practices, and compliance monitoring activities
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Microsoft Office applications
