About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop, operate, and improve Rabobank’s data management platform
Translate requirements into tested, maintainable technical solutions
Design, build, test, and maintain automated data pipelines and integrations using Python, SQL, REST APIs, and orchestration tools
Configure and improve metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, data quality, and governance capabilities in platforms such as Collibra
Develop and integrate tools and AI-enabled functionality for Data and AI solutions
Implement, test, and improve Collibra workflows to automate data governance processes
Build and maintain integrations between Data and AI platforms, cloud services, enterprise systems, data sources, and internal APIs
Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Data and AI applications, including LLM-based applications
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, governance, and product teams
Apply automated testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD practices
Develop and operationalise Generative AI and LLM-based functionality

Requirements

What you’ll need

One to three years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, analytics engineering, platform engineering, or a related area
Relevant internships, traineeships, academic assignments, or personal projects may contribute when they demonstrate practical skills and independent work within a defined scope
Strong hands-on Python development experience
Solid understanding of REST APIs and system integration concepts
Working knowledge of SQL, databases, data modelling, and data processing concepts
Practical experience using Git, testing, documentation, and code reviews
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English
Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and take responsibility for technical deliverables
Proactive approach to learning and applying modern Data and AI technologies
Hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, or comparable cloud and data platforms is an advantage
Experience with Airflow, Kedro, Azure Data Factory, or comparable orchestration tools is an advantage
Experience with Collibra or a comparable metadata management/data governance platform is an advantage
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases, or prompt engineering is an advantage
Experience with CI/CD tooling, automated testing, monitoring, and logging is an advantage
Experience delivering technical work in an Agile team is an advantage
