About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Detect criminal behavior by using analytics models to analyze Rabobank transactions of more than 8 million customers
Optimize the current rule-based Transaction Monitoring system
Contribute eventually to introducing advanced analytics methodologies such as Machine Learning into Transaction Monitoring models
Develop and improve detection rules within multidisciplinary teams
Analyze data and patterns linked to illegal activities
Identify new relevant data sources and evaluate their integration into models
Work with business experts, model owners, and IT to implement and continuously refine models
Develop and enhance detection rules, including model setup and writing reliable, well-structured code
Identify challenges related to model choices and contribute to suitable solutions
Collaborate with junior and medior colleagues, IT specialists, and analysts to ensure consistent team best practices
Help analysts focus on true positive alerts and value-adding activities

Requirements

What you’ll need

A Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in data science or data analysis, preferably with large datasets
Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark
Experience in implementing and maintaining analytical models into production is preferred
Azure Databricks experience is a plus
Strong communication skills, including presenting complex topics clearly to business stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Structured and precise working style
Effective collaboration across different roles
Initiative to improve outcomes
Experience with Agile working is a plus
