About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data products and analytics solutions supporting FEC insight, reporting, and decision-making
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and maintainability of the squad's data landscape through engineering standards, governance principles, and continuous improvement
- Act as a senior technical leader, mentoring engineers, driving solution ownership, and contributing to the strategic evolution of the Data Capabilities domain
- Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, compliance, data management, and engineering
- Develop data products supporting Financial Crime Compliance monitoring, decision-making, and reporting
- Own solution design and continuous improvement while identifying opportunities and mitigating risks
- Review solution designs and coach team members on data modelling, code quality, and engineering best practices
- Identify data-pipeline performance bottlenecks and implement improvements to reliability, processing efficiency, and data quality
- Design dashboards with FEC specialists and business stakeholders to provide actionable insights into client risk profiles and operational processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and BI development, preferably in Azure ecosystem
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, and YAML
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Knowledge of Power BI report building
- Knowledge of data modelling, data lakehouse, and ETL processes
- Proficient in Azure DevOps, CI/CD practices with Git, and scripting deployment workflows
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps delivery environments
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, showing ownership and accountability
- Collaborative team player who can influence stakeholders and drive results
- Must be located in the Netherlands; relocation is not possible
