About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage an end-to-end service design project in practice
  • Research current learning and development journeys of bankers during their early career
  • Investigate the effectiveness of learning experiences and factors influencing junior bankers' motivation to continue their careers at Rabobank
  • Identify user needs, barriers and opportunities related to expertise building, confidence and career progression
  • Translate research findings into strategic design directions and a final concept or outcome
  • Create journey maps or service blueprints showing how people, processes and technology connect
  • Develop, prototype and test services, tools or experience concepts supporting learning and performance
  • Present meaningful outcomes for end users
  • Work independently and collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Communicate research insights and prototypes to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You are in the final phase of a relevant master's degree, such as Strategic Product Design, Design for Interaction, Industrial Design or a similar degree
  • You can complete your master's degree through this graduation internship
  • You are enrolled at a Dutch university
  • You are based in the Netherlands
  • You are fluent in English
  • You can work independently and take ownership of your project
  • You can collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
  • You can start your internship in January 2026
  • Familiarity with service design methods such as user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, prototyping or testing is a nice-to-have
  • Interest in complex organisational learning and development questions is a nice-to-have
  • Ability to translate research findings into clear and practical design directions is a nice-to-have
  • Strong visualisation and storytelling skills are a nice-to-have
  • Motivational letter, CV and portfolio are required for application
  • A reliability assessment is part of the procedure
