Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee fulfillment of technical requirements for Asset Management contracts and consulting services
Define team direction
Develop, resource, and manage large-scope and long-term projects, making resource, scope, and delivery tradeoffs
Review work products and progress to ensure success
Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Resolve issues within and across teams
Mentor team members and lower-level managers
Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
Develop compensation planning, career coaching, and training, and administer company policies for the team
Drive cross-functional team improvement initiatives and propose updates to team policies and SOPs
Support development of strategic directions within the team
Oversee development of new technology services, including processes, procedures, AI tools, and required software updates
Lead and oversee technical asset management activities for BESS projects, including operational performance, availability, warranty review, degradation analysis, and coordination with OEMs, operators, and internal stakeholders
Review monthly and annual invoicing calculation support documentation against energy contracts to validate required calculations and metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need

4-8 years management experience
Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management, CEOs, and boards of directors
University Degree (or equivalent) with 8+ years domain experience
Experience managing utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including operations, performance monitoring, contract compliance, and technical issue resolution
Masters/Graduate and 6+ years domain experience
Proven ability to set direction and drive large cross-functional teams to success
Able to work as part of a larger team
Proven success in personnel management, coaching, and mentoring
Proven ability to liaise with clients/internal management on significant issues requiring high-level management intervention
Root cause analysis and process improvement
Big-picture thinking that drives teams to meet organizational goals and provides cross-functional improvements
Proven project and people management skills
Working knowledge of BESS operational performance drivers, including availability, round-trip efficiency, capacity degradation, augmentation planning, safety considerations, and root cause analysis for equipment or controls-related issues
Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF toolsets
